What is confirmed about creatures
Malignus fills its caves with wild creatures. Mossbomb says there are more than 30, with nine lair types. You can tame them as pets, build them a lair, or hunt them for food. The official press kit names 21 creatures and provides art for many of them.

Other named creatures
These creatures are named in the official art set but do not have a published stat line or a dedicated card in our current image set. We list them so the compendium does not pretend the 12 cards are the whole game.
The press kit art set also includes a skeleton, spider and other variants used by the Dread Lich and Spider Trap. Their appearance as art does not confirm they are tameable cave creatures.

Lairs and taming
Nine lair types exist. Only two are named in the official material: the Ember Pit for fire elementals and the Cairn for the Stone Golem. The other seven are part of the 30+ creature system but have not been catalogd publicly.
| Lair | Known creature | Evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Ember Pit | Fire Elemental | The official press kit's ember cavern screenshot labels an ember pit lair for fire elementals. |
| Cairn | Stone Golem | The official in-game screenshot shows a Stone Golem beside its cairn in the Stair Vault. |
| Seven unnamed lairs | Unknown | Mossbomb states nine lair types exist but has not named the rest in the public kit. |
The store description says you can build a lair, tame a creature as a pet, or hunt it for food. What that means operationally — whether a lair attracts a creature, claims one, or upgrades a tamed pet — is not explained in the public material. The phrase “build one of nine lair types” suggests construction, but the exact loop is unconfirmed.
Do not treat the Stone Golem as a template
The Stone Golem's Battle 9 and Max Yield ×10 are real data from one creature panel. They do not establish that every construct is a high-Battle, high-yield creature, or that other creatures follow the same stat ranges. It is one data point, not a formula.
What is missing from the public bestiary
- The names and art of the remaining 9+ creatures in the 30+ roster.
- Seven of the nine lair types.
- Taming requirements and whether creatures can be bred, fed or equipped.
- Combat stats for every creature except the Stone Golem.
- Whether lair creatures count against the minion population or a separate cap.
- How hunting for food interacts with the kitchen and food storage.
